JOB DESCRIPTION

As a project manager in our technical department, you will play a key role in leading and coordinating our projects from the initial idea to the completed project. You will work closely with the construction manager during the contracting phase and create valuable collaborations with other departments, citizens, authorities, property owners, and businesses. Responsibilities

In the role of project manager, you are the driving force behind our investment and exploitation projects, focusing on street, land, and water and sewage facilities. You will be part of a dynamic team consisting of project managers, construction managers, landscape architects, and traffic planners, reporting directly to the project manager.

Ystad Municipality has several exciting and challenging projects underway. In the coming years, renovations of Fridhemsgatan and Sjömansgatan are planned, as well as the development of Västra Sjöstaden phase 3. Additionally, we are working on the extensive exploitation project Hamnstaden, where parts of the harbor in central Ystad will be transformed into an attractive residential area.

As a project manager, you will lead and be responsible for the projects from planning to implementation. You will ensure that your projects meet the goals within budget, time, technology, quality, and environment. In addition, you will staff the projects with the right competencies and manage permits and ensure that all requirements are met. You will also prepare tender documents and handle the procurement of consultants and contracts in collaboration with the procurement unit. The role involves many different points of contact and requires you to be communicative and hold dialogue and information meetings with relevant parties. The position also includes presenting the projects both verbally and in writing to the project manager, technical manager, and politicians.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with experience as a project manager, site manager, or assignment manager with commissioning competence in community building. You have good knowledge of project planning and follow-up, contract law, and financial management.

As a project manager, you are responsible, driven, and clear. You enjoy creating results and solving problems in an efficient and methodical way. Experience from public administration, such as municipal operations, is an advantage.

You have a civil engineering degree in a relevant field, such as civil engineering or community building, or other relevant technical education or experience deemed equivalent. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

A valid driver's license (B) is required.

The position may be classified for security and will then be subject to a security check.
