About the role as Designer

As a designer at AFRY, you work with the entire chain from data collection and analysis to design and implementation of infrastructure solutions, mainly for district heating and cooling. Your tasks range from site visits and technical drawings to cost calculations and system design.

You will:

Coordinate projects from start to finish – from collecting data to ensuring that the solutions work in practice
Develop smart and sustainable solutions in underground pipe installations, including technical calculations and network simulations
Communicate and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, including contractors and suppliers, to ensure high quality throughout the project

We are looking for someone who has the ability to adapt to different projects and tasks – a flexible problem solver who can quickly shift focus and handle new challenges. You enjoy working in teams and have good communication skills, which makes you comfortable in dialogues both internally and externally. Your qualifications

We believe you have:

Relevant post-secondary education in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or ecosystem engineering
At least two years of experience in a designer role within water and sewage, HVAC, ground, or construction
Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written
Driver's license-B

It is advantageous if you have:

Good knowledge of AMA, Office suite, and experience with energy systems and components within district heating, cooling, gas, and heat
