Traffic Informant Norrköping

Job Responsibilities

In the role of traffic informant, you are responsible for disseminating information both internally and externally to ensure that train passengers have good options for alternative travel during disruptions in train traffic. This can involve anything from delayed and canceled trains to platform changes. You collect and compile information about track changes, delays, vehicle problems, and contact line faults.

You will be seated in an operational environment at a traffic control center where you collaborate with several other functions. A traffic informant must be prepared for unexpected, sudden, and serious disruptions. You are a key player in local communication to relay information, and you work according to established routines and processes. The information you handle is disseminated via existing equipment at the stations and lays the foundation for information to various websites, apps, and media. It is essential that you stay updated on the traffic situation, which you do through computerized monitoring systems and good collaboration with colleagues and railway companies.

When train traffic operates as planned, you will experience calm periods where you primarily monitor and are prepared if the traffic situation changes. Since the operation runs around the clock, this means that our traffic informants work various shifts according to a schedule throughout the year and at all hours of the day, including night shifts. One of the most enjoyable aspects of this job is that no day is the same!

Additional Information

In this recruitment, web-based tests are used as part of the selection process. This is to ensure an objective and non-discriminatory recruitment process. The tests will be sent out as the application period ends, so we ask you to keep an eye on your email.

We primarily use email (from the address: [email protected]) for sending out information and invitations. Please check your inbox and spam regularly during this time to ensure you receive all information from us!

Qualifications

You have good problem-solving skills that enable you to identify problems and develop solutions from a holistic perspective. You are attentive and can adapt your communication to the recipient. It is important that you can adjust to new circumstances and situations where you work constructively and maintain your composure in stressful situations. You thrive in a variable pace as calm monitoring periods also occur. You take responsibility for independently performing your tasks and have good collaboration skills.
