Welcome to this fantastic position as Chief Accountant where you will take on a broad, dynamic, and varied role with both operational and managerial responsibilities. You will be responsible for coaching, guiding, and ensuring the quality of your employees' work, as well as managing the accounting for a number of schools nationally. You will belong to a finance team of nearly 15 employees, where you will be responsible for a group of six accountants. You will report to the CFO.
The company is in a growth phase and is moving from large to larger due to acquisitions and organic growth. Further advancement on the stock market is planned for 2026. The headquarters is located in central Stockholm, where the atmosphere is characterized by helpfulness, a pleasant environment, and great competence. About the role
In the role of Chief Accountant, you will be responsible for six employees, both junior and experienced. You will ensure to coach and guide them in their work and work daily for maintained well-being and good team spirit. Additionally, you will be operational and handle the accounting from start to finish for some of the group's approximately 50 schools.
You will, among other things:
- Lead and support a team of six accountants
- Manage personnel issues and develop your employees
- Be responsible for accounting, from bookkeeping to financial statements and annual reports, for some of the group's schools
- Streamline and improve working methods and routines
- Work closely with the CFO, the company's Controllers, and payroll manager
This role suits you who want to combine a role with both leadership responsibility and operational accounting work. We see it as an advantage if you have previous leadership experience, but the most important thing is that you are a people person and have an interest in management.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who:
- Have a university degree in finance
- Have at least 5 years of work experience in accounting
- Master accounting from start to finish independently, including year-end work, annual reports, and declarations
- Have good knowledge of the K3 regulations
- Have previous experience in a managerial role
- Have good proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Speak and write Swedish fluently
Meritorious
- Knowledge in consolidated accounting
- Previous experience with IFRS
- Previous experience with Fortnox
Personal qualities
