About the American High School, Stockholm - Essingen

- The school will enter its fifth academic year this fall.

- The school has approximately 560 students studying in the Natural Science and Technology Program, the Business Program, or the Social Science Program.

About the Role

As a teacher, you will teach our students Spanish. We are currently also recruiting teachers for Swedish and Swedish as a second language, as well as teachers for social studies subjects. If you wish to combine Spanish with another of the above subjects, please indicate that in your application.

You will be responsible for planning, implementing, assessing, and evaluating your own teaching. You are expected to lead lessons based on our pedagogical structure, which you will receive guidance in. You will teach in a digital environment using digital teaching materials in combination with traditional literature. Instruction will be conducted in both Swedish and English.

The position is a permanent employment at 40%. The employment begins with a 6-month probationary period. Start date August 2025.

Your Profile

We are primarily looking for someone with a teaching license and experience in teaching, who is qualified to teach Spanish. You have a strong commitment to teaching and want to help develop the organization together with a strong team of staff, sharing our educational vision:

You are expected to have good communication skills in both Swedish and English, in both spoken and written forms. You have the ability to use a wide range of digital teaching materials and possess a solid digital competence.
