Do you want to be part of the continued development of child and adolescent psychiatry (BUP) in Hässleholm? We are now looking for a specialist physician or consultant who, together with competent and dedicated colleagues, wants to make a difference for children and adolescents with mental health issues.

Within BUP in Hässleholm, there is traditional outpatient care which is the foundation of the clinical operations, as well as infant care and access to intermediate care services based in Kristianstad. The operations are conducted in interdisciplinary teams with broad expertise, and we have also established functional teams focusing on specific problem areas.

The BUP area Kristianstad includes Kristianstad, Hässleholm, and Ystad and has about 100 employees working for and with children and adolescents up to 18 years old and their families. In the area, there are outpatient clinics in Kristianstad, Hässleholm, and Ystad. Our outpatient care offers assessment, treatment, and investigation for children and adolescents and their families in Hässleholm, Perstorp, and Osby municipalities. The team consists of about 25 employees from various professional categories such as psychologists, doctors, social workers, caregivers, medical secretaries, and nurses. We have a creative and positive work environment where we care for each other. BUP Skåne's emergency services are located in Malmö, as are the specialist clinics.

BUP in Skåne has been an accredited university hospital unit for several years, which means we have close collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine at Lund University regarding both research and education. The academic work permeates our operations. We value interest and experience in research and education when filling all our positions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for someone who wants to work as a specialist physician or consultant based at our clinic in Hässleholm.

With us, you will join an engaged workgroup with experienced colleagues who all support each other and have the patient in focus. You will be offered a stimulating job where the mission is to provide our patients with in-depth assessment, investigation, and treatment. In this work, you will collaborate with colleagues from outpatient care as well as inpatient care, care neighbors, and important actors for the patient such as schools and social services.

You have an important role in mentoring student colleagues' education and development, as well as consultation with other colleagues, both individually and at treatment conferences. Your work includes contributing to good and patient-safe care. At the workplace, there is ample opportunity to focus on the individual patient where you, as a physician, have a central role and access to colleagues' broad treatment offerings.

We work in accordance with national guidelines and regional standardized care processes. We are engaged in both short- and long-term development work in various areas, and we expect you to be interested in engaging in the development of care. We offer good opportunities for further education and research in line with the needs of the operations and patients. As a consultant, you will be offered to participate in both BUP's and the entire psychiatry's further education for specialists, as well as regular local and regional physician meetings.

There is an opportunity to conduct part of the work remotely. Working hours are weekdays from 08:00 to 16:30 with the possibility of flexible hours. Additionally, on-call duty is included in BUP Skåne's collective backup line.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying are a licensed physician with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Additionally, you have specialist competence in child and adolescent psychiatry or adult psychiatry. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale are required. You should have completed or planned a course in clinical supervision.

For employment as a consultant, you must also have:

• full-time service of at least three years (documented effective time)
• clinical skill and independence within the main specialty beyond the obtained specialist competence
• defined medical responsibility and knowledge area
• documented teaching and mentoring merits.

Disputation and/or specialist examination can be credited for a total of up to six months of clinical service. It is also meritorious for the position if you have work experience with children and adolescents with mental health issues.

As a person, you have very good communication and collaboration skills, work in a structured manner, and enjoy working in a team. You are generous with your knowledge and want to contribute to a continued positive work environment. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.

At a university hospital unit, it is required that physicians have pedagogical experience and education. This can be acquired through mentoring, for example, nursing and medical students as well as physicians in training and as co- or main supervisors of doctoral students. Clearly describe in your application the pedagogical courses you have completed or planned, experience in mentoring, and teaching at various levels.

Non-Nordic dissertations must be attached to the application and assessed by the Swedish Council for Higher Education and meet the requirements for doctoral dissertations at the Faculty of Medicine, Lund University.
