The Neurology and Rehabilitation Department in Hässleholm (NORAH) is a well-functioning inpatient department with 17 beds. We receive adult acute medical patients with acute strokes, neurological diseases, or other internal medicine profiles. This means you will encounter many different medical diagnoses and illnesses with us. We also care for patients in need of inpatient rehabilitation, which is a specialization of Hässleholm Hospital in Skåne. Our department is in development, characterized by our constant strive for improvement and enhancement of our workplace.

We work based on person-centered care, and the team around the patients consists of doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, medical secretaries, social workers, dietitians, and speech therapists. We also have a pharmacist who assists with medications. Additionally, we have a coordinator responsible for My Plans, contributing to a well-functioning collaboration with the municipality and primary care, as well as a coordinator with an overview of our patient flow in the department. Our educational nurse welcomes new employees, is responsible for their introduction, and conducts regular training.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We now welcome three dedicated nurses to NORAH! Here you will be offered a varied and developing job focusing on acute and rehabilitative care, where you are an obvious and important part of the team around the patient.

As a nurse with us, you will work with neuro patients in the acute phase and with the rehabilitation process for the inpatient rehabilitation patients.

- In our department, we work broadly in the nursing role. We have the rehabilitation side where we get to know the patients and follow their progress, and we also have the more acute side characterized by shorter and faster care flows. With us, you get everything. We have many functions that facilitate our work as nurses and can provide a secure start in the introduction, such as a pharmacist, coordinator, and educational nurse, continues Elin.

When you start as a new employee with us, we offer you a tailored introduction where you will receive support from our educational nurse in patient-related work and care situations. Our educational nurse also acts as a mentor during your first year. For newly graduated nurses, we offer a clinical base year.

We can offer both night shifts and three-shift work. Additionally, we work with a booking schedule, which gives you good opportunities to influence your own schedule. You schedule for ten weeks and work two out of five weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying are a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale are a requirement for the position. It is advantageous if you have work experience in hospital care.

To thrive with us, you need to be able to adapt your working methods to changing circumstances. In patient meetings, you have an empathetic approach with a focus on person-centered care. You are curious and want to learn new things, which is evident in your initiative at the workplace.
