The Orthopedic Unit (VO) at Skåne University Hospital (Sus) provides acute and elective orthopedic care with both district and regional responsibility. The occupational therapy unit is located in both Malmö and Lund and consists of a total of 17 occupational therapists and three social workers. We operate in both inpatient and outpatient care. We are a strong unit where we continuously engage in development work.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for someone who enjoys challenges and wants to help develop our operations forward. There is room for involvement in improvement work and driving new projects. We are currently seeking an occupational therapist for a fixed-term position in our organization and our wonderful team.

As an occupational therapist, you will contribute your specific professional expertise by assessing assistive device needs and conducting ADL assessments/training for patients with various orthopedic injuries. In the department, you will work in a team closely with physiotherapists, as well as with other professional categories. You play a crucial role in the team, especially in the collaboration process during discharge. We also have a close collaboration with the municipality in planning and reporting, creating good conditions for a safe and secure discharge for the patient.

The occupational therapist also has a hand clinic in outpatient care, where we treat patients with distal radius fractures, nerve injuries, and swellings. You will have the opportunity to participate in quality and development work within the organization, allowing you to be part of driving development forward. You will also supervise students. QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed occupational therapist with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is required. Good knowledge of coordinated care planning processes and strong IT skills are advantageous.

You are curious, driven, and enjoy teamwork. Great flexibility is required as the job involves quick decisions where you have a significant and important role as an occupational therapist. Furthermore, you are attentive to both patients and staff. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
