About the role and your tasks

In your daily work, you are part of the everyday life of elderly people and work to support them so that they can live as meaningful, independent, and active lives as possible.

We offer you a varied job where you make a difference for others every day. We have no split shifts, and our full-time measure means you get more free time in your daily life. With us, you have the opportunity to grow and be stimulated, for example, through different roles, areas of responsibility, or training.

Your work is guided by the individuals' needs. A workday may consist of providing support and assistance with personal care, caregiving, medical interventions on delegation from a nurse, and other help that the person you are supporting needs. Documentation is done in Lifecare. Your role also includes contributing to the development of the business and maintaining good quality.

You work until 11:00 PM when you work evenings. You will work every other weekend. We offer everyone to work full-time, which means 36 hours and 20 minutes per week.

We are looking for someone who

• is a trained nursing assistant.
• Experience in similar work, for example, in elderly care, is an advantage.
• To work in home care, cycling experience is required, and in some areas, a B driver's license is also necessary.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language is required in both speech and writing.
• You also need to have good digital skills, for example, in connection with documentation.

You are responsible, committed, flexible, and attentive - with clients, relatives, and colleagues. You understand how important it is for each individual to be involved and have influence over their everyday life.

To be employed as a nursing assistant, you need to have proof of a protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate from an employer that you had a permanent position as a nursing assistant on 1/7 2023.

About the workplace

Lund Municipality's home care is divided into several geographical areas. In each area, nursing assistants and caregivers work in teams with healthcare personnel under the leadership of a unit manager. Each area has a unit administrator and coordinator. We offer service, care, and home healthcare interventions around the clock to the municipality's clients. Some service interventions (cleaning, laundry, and shopping) are performed during the day from Monday to Friday by a service group within each home care area. Home Care Torn has its beautiful, new premises in northern Lund on Traktorvägen. The home care area is the municipality's largest, so bicycles, e-bikes, and cars are used to reach the clients. We work a lot with health and job satisfaction to enjoy working together. We actively work with rehabilitative and palliative circles.

The goal of home care is to carry out assignments with high quality based on the individual's needs and wishes, as well as to provide the opportunity to remain in their own home.
