Solna Sundbyberg Psychiatric Clinic (SSPM) is a general psychiatric outpatient clinic aimed at all individuals over 18 years old, registered in Stockholm County, who are in need of specialist psychiatric care.

The clinic is part of Psychiatry Northwest, a university clinic in the northwestern part of Stockholm County's healthcare area (SLSO).

Solna Sundbyberg Psychiatric Clinic (SSPM) is a pleasant workplace in fine premises at the historic Karolinska Hospital's northern area (Solna). In the same building, there are several of the section's clinics such as the Borderline Unit, OCD Unit, Mobile Acute Team, and Affective Clinic, allowing for close collaboration. At SSPM, we are divided into three base teams and one neuropsychiatric team. We primarily treat patients with affective disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, and neuropsychiatric (NP) disabilities.

We are now looking for a licensed psychologist for a one-year temporary position. Our teams work in accordance with process maps, which include assessments and investigations, psychoeducational groups, and psychological treatment interventions, as well as pharmacological treatment and vocational rehabilitation. We have nurses, nursing assistants, psychologists, social workers, medical secretaries, and doctors working with us. There are established working methods and routines that make your assignment clear. At the same time, we systematically conduct quality improvement work and continuously develop routines as needed for improvement.

Job Responsibilities:

The position is primarily placed in one of our base teams where you will work with standard psychological tasks such as psychological treatment in groups and individually, basic assessments using tools like MINI or SCID-II, and screening for neuropsychiatric issues. If interested and competent in the area of neuropsychiatric assessment, it is possible to also conduct neuropsychiatric evaluations, although the emphasis of the position is in the base team. We also conduct suicide prevention conversations and psychoeducational interventions. At the clinic, we have teamwork with weekly team meetings where you meet team colleagues from all professions. You also collaborate with the section's other clinics and care neighbors to ensure good care planning for the patients.

Qualifications:

Licensed psychologist with experience working in psychiatric outpatient care, preferably in a general psychiatric clinic like ours.

Employment Type:

Temporary position for one year, full-time (40 hours/week) with a start date of March 1, 2025.
