About the Workplace

Nockebyhöjdens care and nursing home is located in the picturesque Bromma and offers a safe and caring environment for 67 residents. We have five departments for people with dementia and one department for somatic care. We work from a client-centered and salutogenic perspective where the residents' wishes and needs are in focus. Our ambition is to create a daily life filled with safety, care, and joy.

Job Responsibilities

As an occupational therapist with us, your role will be central in maintaining and enhancing the residents' functions and quality of life. You will:

• Plan and conduct activities both in groups and individually.
• Perform ADL assessments.
• Prescribe and trial assistive devices.
• Collaborate with physiotherapists on transfers and other joint efforts.
• Guide nursing staff in ADL situations and preventive treatments.
• Train nursing staff in transfer techniques together with physiotherapists.
• Keep the assistive device inventory organized and updated with current needs.
• Stay updated in areas such as dementia, rehabilitation, and creative activities.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Licensure as an occupational therapist and at least 3 years of experience in elderly care or dementia care.
• Experience in activity responsibility (meritorious, but not required).
• Excellent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Very good computer skills.

You are proactive, positive, and have the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues. You have a strong desire to see the strengths in each individual and motivate participation in activities that contribute to increased quality of life.
