At Norlandia Preschools, we are looking for someone who wants to work as a substitute preschool teacher for one year at our preschool Upplevelsen in Uppsala. We are an innovative preschool that challenges the traditional structure and operations of preschools. Our working method is called EduZone and is unique to Norlandia. The children are divided into 8 groups; we have no departments but instead a preschool consisting of 8 challenging educational environments where the whole child can explore and develop all their abilities at the same time. Meal pedagogy, organic and certified food is a given for us, and through our concept Mat med Smak, we meet meals through new taste experiences.

We are looking for someone with a big heart and a desire to make a difference in children’s lives. We prefer that you find it easy to collaborate with others and have the ability to be flexible and responsive to adapt to the needs of the children.

Qualifications:

• Requirement for education as a preschool teacher, preschool teacher certification is required
• Previous experience working in preschool is highly meritorious
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required.
• You have good knowledge of the content of the curriculum and feel that you can contribute to the development of operations together with colleagues in a collegial learning environment.
• You have good knowledge of Office365

Upplevelsen

Norlandia Preschools Upplevelsen is located in central Lindbacken with a large yard for play and movement. Nature is always close by with forests, parks, and rural environments. We work with EduZone, where we want to challenge and awaken children’s curiosity with the help of inspiring educational environments.

At Norlandia Preschools, we offer you professional development every term based on the preschool’s prioritized goals and initiatives. You will be part of our unique concepts, professional development days at the preschool, central initiatives, and offerings in our digital learning platform.

Employment type: Substitute for 1 year

Extent: Full-time

Working hours: Daytime and some evenings with staff meetings/professional training.

Start date: August 4, 2025

We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must be able to prove that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit. Employment can only occur after verification of the work permit, which is required according to the Aliens Ordinance.
