About the role A well-established technology company in civil engineering is now looking for a Junior Project Economist who wants to help create structure and support in a dynamic organization. The role is added as a complement to the existing financial support that is currently outsourced. You will be a key person in managing administration related to project start, invoicing, follow-up, and process improvement. The position is suitable for you who have recently graduated in economics or a related field and thrive in an environment where there is a strong interest in technology, structure is emerging, and no day is the same. In the long run, there is an opportunity to grow into more tasks and responsibilities related to finance.

This is a consulting assignment where you will be employed by Wrknest for six months, with the ambition of permanent recruitment in the long term.

Your future tasks You will work closely with project managers and technical specialists and contribute to ensuring financial control and efficient administration in a project-intensive everyday life.

Examples of tasks:

• Project administration at the start of new assignments
• Invoicing and handling of index adjustments
• Coordination of budgets and follow-up of outcomes
• Communication with external finance teams
• Support in the development of internal routines and templates

This role is suitable for you who are junior in finance and want to be part of a family-oriented company where your work has a significant impact and where there are great opportunities for initiative and to leave your mark on the work.

We are looking for you who Have a post-secondary education in economics. You have good computer skills and can quickly familiarize yourself with new systems, preferably with experience or knowledge of Visma/Spiris (meritorious). Experience from the construction, technology, or consulting industry is also a plus but not a requirement.

You are meticulous without getting bogged down in details and have the ability to prioritize smartly. You like structure, are solution-oriented, and find it easy to communicate with different types of people – from technical specialists to external financial partners. You see opportunities, are self-driven, and dare to ask questions when you do not understand.

Other information

Start: August–September, considering the holiday period.

Location: Stockholm, Västberga

Scope: Full-time, with flexible working hours.

Employment form: Consulting assignment for six months with a chance of extension or permanent recruitment.

About the client The client is a technology-intensive company focused on projects in civil engineering. They currently have around 20 employees and are part of a larger group. The culture is characterized by high technical competence, lack of prestige, and great commitment to each project – from small investigations to large, complex infrastructure assignments. The finance function is currently outsourced, but the ambition is to grow in-house and gradually build up a stronger administrative support internally.
