At Cedergrenska, we are now looking for a self-driven, reliable, and proactive accountant with several years of experience in accounting who wants to be part of our wonderful accounting team. You will have overall responsibility for the accounting of several companies — from start to finish — and be a key person in our finance department.

Cedergrenska is an educational group with about 50 operations that provide education of the highest quality for children and students from preschool to post-secondary education, including resource schools, adapted primary schools, and adapted high schools.

About the role

As an accountant with us, you will work independently with the entire accounting process and be responsible for everything from accounts receivable and payable, ongoing bookkeeping to year-end closing, annual reports, and tax returns. You will work closely with the operations, our principals, and support functions, reporting to the CFO. You will be part of our accounting team, which consists of 8 people, and thus have many colleagues to collaborate with, but you will be responsible for a few of your own companies.

Your tasks will include

• Working with monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, ongoing accounting, accounts receivable and payable, fixed asset register, reconciliations, VAT reporting, and ensuring quality in reporting.
• Providing support to our principals regarding accounting issues.
• Participating in improvement work to streamline processes and develop and document routines to enhance quality and create a more efficient operation.

We are looking for someone who has:

• At least 5 years of experience in independent accounting work with full company responsibility for somewhat larger companies (K3 companies)
• Good knowledge of ongoing year-end closing work, reconciliations, preparing annual reports, tax calculations, etc.
• Reliable, meticulous, and accustomed to working in a structured manner
• Used to taking initiative, pitching in where needed, and driving improvement work
• Good system skills, where experience with Fortnox and Fortnox Bokslut & Skatt is an advantage.
• You communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written.

As a person, you are meticulous, responsible, and solution-oriented. You enjoy working independently and appreciate having overall responsibility where you can influence and develop working methods and routines.
