What does the job of an occupational therapist at Norlandia Elderly Care entail?

Your main responsibility is to conduct occupational therapy assessments, evaluations, and interventions. Assessments and work are based on rehabilitative and function-preserving care, as well as the elderly's needs, wishes, and resources. You are responsible for the testing, prescribing, and follow-up of assistive devices. You will work together with a physiotherapist to conduct ergonomics and transfer technique training for the staff and participate in team meetings.

You work with care in everything you do, with a high degree of personal responsibility, and have the ability to prioritize and lead others. Flexibility and collegial cooperation are of great importance in this role. 

About Vedbo Elderly Home

Vedbo Elderly Home is located in Eriksborg. The facility has 98 places distributed across 4 departments. 23 of these places are dedicated to individuals with dementia.

The care staff consists of nursing assistants and caregivers. Our healthcare staff consists of four nurses, one occupational therapist, and one physiotherapist.

Vedbo Elderly Home is close to public transportation, with a bus stop for line no. 3 within a short walking distance. A stone's throw from Vedbo, you will find both green areas and Erikslund Shopping Center.

  • We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist.
  • It is highly meritorious if you have previous experience as an occupational therapist in elderly care.
  • You need to have good knowledge of healthcare regulations
  • You must have a good command of the Swedish language in both speech and writing
  • We would like you to have knowledge of documenting based on ICF and KVÅ (international and national classifications and coding systems)
  • We want you to have good knowledge of the national quality registers relevant to the operations
  • We place great emphasis on personal suitability
  • A driver's license is required

We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
