Project Manager in Healthcare and Technical Systems

Responsibilities

You will work as a project manager within the logistics area, specifically in the healthcare unit. The goal of the operation in this area is to procure healthcare materials, ensure their sustainability over time, and deliver them to the Armed Forces within the agreed timeline. Your role as a project manager is to lead the work performed in project teams based on existing frameworks and guidelines towards a defined goal. As a project manager, you are responsible for planning, leading, developing, and following up on the project work carried out in the project teams. You are also responsible for maintaining the budget and set timeline, signing and following up on contracts. Furthermore, the project manager analyzes, evaluates, and reports on project documents and provides basis and proposals for decisions. In this role, you will have many contacts with interfaces to other operational areas internally at FMV as well as externally with suppliers and other stakeholders.

The position is based in Stockholm. Travel is included in the role.

We are looking for someone who

You are a civil engineer or system scientist. You have project management training or equivalent competence acquired in another way that we consider equivalent. Furthermore, you have experience in a relevant area and several years of experience leading projects with project members. You have good knowledge of the Office suite and very good knowledge of Swedish and English.

It is advantageous if you have experience working in the technical field and technical system work, technical requirements specification, or systems safety. It is also a plus if you have experience in public procurement and negotiation as well as using project planning tools such as MS Project or equivalent. Knowledge of the defense sector as well as the healthcare area is a plus.

As a person, you have a good ability to collaborate with and lead others in projects. You work in a structured manner, have financial awareness, and flexibility in your working style. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities.

Within the logistics area for common material to healthcare, we procure systems, equipment, and services on behalf of the Armed Forces in areas such as surgery and intensive care, pre-hospital care, defense health/daily healthcare, and training materials.
