We are looking for an Orthopedic Engineer - Welcome to Aktiv Ortopedteknik in Bergshamra!

Aktiv Ortopedteknik in Stockholm is part of Aktiv Ortopedteknik in Sweden AB, and is located in Solna, Södertälje, Norrtälje, Dalens Hospital, and Danderyd Hospital. We have about 65 employees with unique competencies. Aktiv Ortopedteknik currently has agreements with Region Stockholm to provide complete orthopedic technical services and rehabilitation for amputees. We work with all types of orthopedic aids and collaborate closely with healthcare through, among other things, team cooperation. We are in an exciting phase of development as we have high ambitions to profile ourselves within orthopedic technology, amputation rehabilitation, and to continue refining our operations.

As an Orthopedic Engineer with us, you will work to improve the quality of life for people by optimizing their mobility and independence. Aktiv Ortopedteknik works with all types of orthopedic aids, from orthopedic shoes and insoles to orthoses and prostheses. The foundation of our operations is orthopedic technology and the collaboration with other healthcare personnel and teamwork conducted within child/adult habilitation, orthopedics/neurorehabilitation, rheumatic diseases, and prosthetic clinics.

You will work in an environment characterized by knowledge and be a driving force in the development of orthopedic technology and rehabilitation. Aktiv is responsible for a large part of the care chain for amputees as we have agreements for the rehabilitation of amputees. This means close cooperation with our rehab team and our production department. You will be part of the clinical group together with other orthopedic engineers, as well as podiatrists, orthopedic technicians, orthopedic sewing technicians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, doctors, and psychologists. Your tasks will be adapted according to your knowledge and experiences.

The position is a permanent full-time employment located in Bergshamra/Solna. Travel in the job may occur.

Your background/profile

You have a good ability to organize and structure your work, while being flexible, responsible, and having good social skills. You master both Swedish and English and have good computer skills. A license and degree from the Orthopedic Engineering program in Jönköping or equivalent is a requirement for your application to be processed. Exceptions apply to those who are newly graduated and have not yet received a license from the National Board of Health and Welfare.

You take independent responsibility for your tasks, drive your own processes, and ensure their completion. In collaboration with others, you contribute with knowledge and experience while being attentive and respectful and considering the group's best interests. When a problem arises, you focus your energy on finding solutions and maintain your focus on the goal.
