The Clinical Chemistry and Pharmacology Unit (VO) has approximately 150 employees, primarily consisting of biomedical analysts, hospital chemists, and physicians. We are organized into units and processes with unit managers and process leaders working closely together. For us, it is natural to collaborate across professional boundaries to provide the best possible service to our customers. We place great emphasis on developing our diagnostics, as well as our education, research, guidance, and preventive work. We are an accredited laboratory.

The VO of Clinical Chemistry and Pharmacology performs and is method- and medically responsible for specialized analyses in Lund/Malmö and patient-centered chemical analyses in healthcare. Furthermore, we are method- and medically responsible for the clinical chemical analyses conducted by the laboratory medicine unit based in the nine major hospitals of Region Skåne. This entails responsibility for an annual production of approximately 17 million analyses for customers within and outside Region Skåne.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking forward to welcoming a resident physician in Clinical Chemistry to us at the VO of Clinical Chemistry and Pharmacology!

As a resident physician with us, you will have a stimulating and developing environment with good conditions for broad training in our diagnostic areas, as well as the opportunity to participate in development projects and quality work. You will also receive an individual study program and a supervisor in accordance with established guidelines for the specialty.

The work will primarily be based in Lund, but there may be travel to other laboratories in Skåne.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed physician with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are required. Experience in research is advantageous for the position.
