Kasam BUF is an entity belonging to the newly established company Kasam Behandlingsfamiljer AB. Kasam BUF stands for Kasam Treatment and Investigation Families. The goal of the operation is to meet the needs of the placed child and their biological network through adapted investigation and treatment efforts.

Kasam BUF consists of foster homes with a healing family system and an emotional surplus. The foster homes collaborate with a treatment team tailored to the child's needs.

Kasam BUF comprises specialist expertise with employed child psychiatrist, psychologist, speech therapist, nurse, treatment manager, psychotherapist, unit manager, and treatment consultant.

The services offered by the team include the following:

• NPF investigations
• Risk assessment of sexual behavior
• TBA mapping
• Medication treatment
• Psychoeducation for the child, foster parents, and biological parents
• Reunification efforts for children and biological parents
• Family conversations with biological parents, the child, and foster parents
• Child interviews
• TF-CBT
• Visitation training

Job Description

As a specialist social worker, you work on a mission from the CEO to develop the business, ensure its quality, and perform self-assessments. You are responsible for the inquiry process, matching process, suitability process, and placement process. These processes are the foundation for secure and safe foster care for children and young people.

You are responsible for suitability assessments of foster homes before placement and also continuous assessments during ongoing placement. You start from the business's requirements profile for foster homes, where your work will be to assess, educate, coach, but also in some cases, perform exits on foster homes.

Self-assessments and suitability assessments consist of reference checks, home visits to foster homes, behavioral observations, interaction assessments, matching investigations, and assessments.

Profile Requirements

The position requires high demands on work experience and competence in the field of foster care. You should be a trained social worker or have equivalent education, with at least 10 years of work experience in foster care and/or authority exercise with children and young people.

As a person, you should have the ability to build relationships, be brave and set requirements while being able to lead yourself (self-leadership). You are flexible, can take responsibility for your tasks, and plan your workday independently.

About the Position

You work in a hybrid manner, which means that you work from home. You participate in mandatory business meetings every third week in Karlskrona at the head office. In addition to this, you have weekly team meetings with the CEO and unit manager for planning and follow-up. The specialist social worker works in a team with the CEO and unit manager, and sits in the management group. Your catchment areas will be Laholm, Halmstad, Varberg, Falkenberg, and Hylte.
