We at Assistansbolaget En Hjälpande Hand are looking for a personal assistant for a man in his 50s living in Halmstad. He has epilepsy and an intellectual disability and requires assistance around the clock. Your duties include helping and supporting the client in his daily life with personal hygiene, meal situations, household chores, accompanying him on activities, and assisting with training.

The working hours are varied, including days, evenings, and night shifts, with on-call duties at night.

It is important that you are attentive and can interact well with the client. You should have a strong empathetic ability and a good understanding of what an adequate response means. You must be social and motivating. Other obvious and valuable qualities are loyalty, flexibility, and patience. It is important that you are grounded and secure in yourself. You should be 100% engaged with the client during working hours. It is important that you enjoy long walks, as the client likes to be outdoors.

As an assistant, you will be part of a team, which makes it important to have a sense of responsibility and flexibility, as well as the ability to support each other during shift changes/sickness. You must be proficient in the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
