Care Assistant for Department 4C

Job Responsibilities

As a care assistant with us, you play an important and crucial role in the patient's recovery. You contribute to essential basic care while also having knowledge of and performing medical checks and blood sampling. This ensures that the patient receives the best care at all hours of the day.

Professional Development

Professional development occurs continuously and individually. You will create your own development plan based on the organization's goals in collaboration with department manager Linda.

About the Workplace

The department's primary goal is to save as many brain cells as possible in patients who have had a stroke or to prevent residents of Halland from having a stroke. We do this together in teams consisting of various professional categories: doctors, nurses, care assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, dietitians, social workers, psychologists, medical secretaries, and staff from care-related services - all are equally important! In 4C, we take care of acute management, and any rehabilitation occurs at home or in Halmstad.

In addition to stroke care, we treat patients with neurological diseases. Acute management occurs with us, and follow-up is done at our neurology clinic. The collaboration between the department and the clinic is an important and developing part of 4C.

All departments in the medical clinic share a common responsibility for caring for general internal medicine patients.

My work as department manager involves being responsible for patient safety and the work environment in the department together with the medically responsible physician.

The department has 21 care places. The length of stay for patients varies but averages 3-5 days.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained care assistant with a focus on emergency care or similar education. We prefer that you have at least 3 years of experience in care work; previous experience in inpatient care, blood sampling, and documentation skills are advantageous.

As a person, you are engaged, motivated, and have good collaboration skills. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
