We are now looking for a medical student or newly graduated doctor who wants to work as a medical assistant during the summer of 2025.

About the position

As a medical assistant/nursing assistant at Oskarströms Health Center, you will work in a team where close collaboration and high-quality care are top priorities.

As a medical assistant with us, we offer a varied job where you will have the opportunity to receive your own patients under supervision. You will have the chance to familiarize yourself with the tasks of other professions and gain insight into the workings of primary care. As a medical assistant, you will receive a positive introduction to the work as a future doctor, thus providing the conditions to grow into your future medical role. If you are a newly graduated doctor, there is an opportunity for a longer temporary position.

Examples of job tasks include:

• Triaging acute patients
• Own reception where you will take your own patients under the supervision of either a nurse and/or a doctor
• Assisting in doctor consultations
• Sample collection and laboratory work
• Advising

About the workplace

With us at Oskarströms Health Center, you will have a meaningful job where you can make a difference!

Our newly renovated health center is located next to a nursing home, and here we can offer a complete range of doctor and district nurse consultations, laboratory, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, psychological counseling, child health care, and district nurse-led diabetes and asthma/COPD clinics. You will collaborate with many of them as a medical assistant.

It is important to us that care is provided at the right level with the patient in focus, respect for the individual, and good cooperation between professions. We are looking for you with the following qualifications:

• Newly graduated doctor
• Ongoing medical education and completed at least eight semesters can apply as a medical assistant with us
• If you have studied outside Sweden and are seeking work as a medical assistant, you must have studied to a level corresponding to at least eight semesters in Sweden
• Experience working in primary care is an advantage
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Language skills in Swedish corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale
• Practical application of the Swedish language through the ability to understand and make oneself understood in speech and writing
• It is an advantage if you are multilingual
• Work experience in healthcare, preferably from a health center, is an advantage
