Activation Educator for Kolla Special School

The role of an activation educator with us

You will be part of a team of educators and student assistants, and together you will be responsible for a small teaching group. The students study based on the various curricula of the special school, and your work involves being responsible for the educational content of the activities. You should ensure that other staff are well acquainted with the goals that the students are working towards. Your work with us also involves working in the after-school program, and you are expected to take responsibility for the students' development and learning throughout the school day. Working hours vary between 06:00 - 18:00.

Your profile

For this position, flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing conditions are required. You should have good pedagogical skills, be able to collaborate and communicate openly. You should be able to lead work towards goals, be clear, and have self-leadership. A humble attitude and the ability to build good relationships with guardians and others are also important. You express yourself well in Swedish, as it is required in daily work. Personal suitability will be given great importance.

We are looking for someone who has:

Current experience working in adapted primary school activities both in school and in after-school programs
Worked with students studying according to the curriculum for adapted primary school in both different directions
Demonstrated knowledge of sign language support and low-stress interaction

It is advantageous if you have:

Knowledge of epilepsy
