Information Architect with a focus on Geographic Data

The City Planning Office (SBK) in Malmö is now looking for an Information Architect focusing on geographic data for the IT & Development unit. Responsibilities

In the role of Information Architect, you will play a key role in developing, implementing, and ensuring structured management of geographic information within the City Planning Office. You will be responsible for both the long-term management and development of information management and geographic data within the organization. Digitalization is a crucial factor in meeting future societal challenges, where artificial intelligence, machine learning, information security, and data-driven analysis are becoming increasingly important.

You will work both internally within the City Planning Office and externally with other departments in Malmö City.

• Internally: Support the City Planning Office with strategies for information management, contribute to environmental monitoring, and develop our long-term capabilities in the area.
• Externally: Collaborate with central IT in Malmö City to create common strategies and guidelines for information management.
• Management: Be responsible for the management of information models and geodata, and ensure that the systems continue to meet the organization's needs in the long term.

You will report to the unit manager for "IT and Development" and work closely with colleagues in digitalization and IT governance. You will be employed as a GIS engineer.

Qualifications

We would like you to have:

• Relevant university education in geodata or another relevant field.
• Several years of experience in information management of geographic data and its strategic role in an organization.

It is an advantage if you have experience in:

• Management of information systems and data architecture.
• Data-driven development.
• AI and machine learning.
• Basic understanding of public operations.
