Public administration is facing significant demographic changes with an increasing proportion of older people in the population. The city will need to provide municipal services to more people while we will not be able to meet the increased demand with the same number of employees.

Digitalization plays an important role in addressing societal challenges, and in this newly established role, you will do important work to meet this challenge. You will work together with a cross-functional team that includes roles such as system architect, IAM architect, IT security architect, information security specialist, lawyer, and license and contract managers.

We see the digital workplace as a fundamental prerequisite for communication, collaboration, and productivity for all city employees. The city's employees have a wide variety of tasks and also different conditions and needs for the digital workplace.

Responsibilities

As a domain architect for the digital workplace, your mission will be to develop the overall architecture, create strategies, and be part of realizing them. You will work in a broad domain that encompasses multiple platforms and services. Communication and collaboration are central parts of your work to create good partnerships where you can meet operational needs regarding user experience, support, functionality, security, and AI.

We are currently further developing the digital workplace through new initiatives for the mobile workplace, where you will play an important role.

Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced and collaborative architect who enjoys taking a holistic perspective and translating complex technical information into insights that create value for the recipient. You are skilled at balancing the needs of the business with technical capabilities.

You are solution-oriented and development-focused, with the ability to create structure and drive long-term initiatives. With your communication skills, you build trust and relationships that last over time.

At a minimum, you have a relevant technical college/university education or equivalent experience that we consider comparable. You communicate in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, at a very good level.

To succeed in this role, you have:

• Several years of experience designing and implementing solutions for the digital workplace.
• Good knowledge and experience of Microsoft 365, Windows 11, mobile working methods, SharePoint, and managing clients in the form of computers, smartphones & tablets with MECM and Intune.
• Meritorious: Experience working with architecture. Experience working in or with the public sector. Experience with generative AI, risk management, and continuity planning.

We are IT & digitalization professionals who, with our deep technical expertise, strive to understand and meet the digitalization needs of Malmö residents and employees. Together, we are about 120 colleagues with a broad mandate to deliver city-wide services to all operations.

We are located in new modern premises at Kungsgatan 6 in the heart of Malmö.
