Axis Communications is expanding the Core Services & Integration team, which works to create the fundamental services that enable their products and software to work seamlessly together. The team belongs to the Information Systems department and has overall responsibility for solutions that manage user management, authentication, software distribution, and integration between different systems. The group consists of system developers, testers, and product owners who work closely together in an agile environment with significant technical responsibility and a culture characterized by collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation.

The Role

As a System Developer, you will play a central role in building and further developing the systems that form the foundation for many of Axis Communications' digital services. This involves solutions that allow users to log in, manage their accounts, download software, and use products in a secure and efficient manner. Your contributions will be crucial in creating a stable and secure user experience – both for end customers and for the partners working with Axis products worldwide.

The role involves participating in the entire development chain – from interpreting needs and developing solution proposals to writing code, testing, and maintaining the systems. You will work with cloud-based platforms and modern development principles, in a team that has overall responsibility for its services. There is also a clear security focus, as the systems handle user data and must meet high demands for availability and GDPR compliance.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

We are looking for someone with a strong technical background who wants to help build robust, secure, and user-centric system solutions. You are accustomed to working with backend development and have an interest in both new development and further development of existing systems. You have a good ability to see the big picture while being able to dive into details – and you enjoy collaborating closely with other roles in an agile team.

Have a completed post-secondary education in areas such as computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering, physics, or a related field.
Have solid work experience in backend development in modern environments, preferably with good knowledge of microservices architecture, API integrations, and cloud-based solutions.
You have worked with programming in Java and have experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot. You also have a good understanding of REST APIs and authentication solutions like OAuth2 and OpenID Connect.
Are used to working according to agile methodologies, preferably in DevOps teams with overall responsibility.
Communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, in speech and writing.

It is a merit if you also have experience with:

Working in AWS or other cloud platforms.
Integration of external systems and APIs in larger system landscapes.
Operation and further development of systems with high demands for availability and performance.
Experience with GitHub and CI/CD, such as GitHub Actions.
Having worked with programming in Python and scripting in Bash.
Functioned as a mentor for junior System Developers.
