About the Position
We are currently seeking a consultant to work as a controller for our client, a government agency in Jönköping.
- Scope: Full-time 100%
- Start: April/May
- Duration: Until December 31, 2025, possibly longer.
There is an opportunity for some remote work by agreement with the immediate supervisor.
Your Main Responsibilities
We need to replace one of our controllers who is currently working with the client, a government agency in Jönköping.
The work primarily involves economic status reporting of projects, applications for EU funding disbursement, and related supportive tasks. This includes tasks such as budget monitoring and compilation, as well as assisting with questions regarding invoices and other budget matters.
As the organization is governed by a complex regulatory framework and is subject to audits, it is important that the work within the unit maintains high quality and efficiency. Therefore, we are constantly working to develop our processes. An introduction to how the assignment should be performed will be provided at the start of the assignment.
You will initially belong to the Business Development Unit. The unit is responsible for promoting and strengthening sustainable competitiveness for the green sectors within agriculture, horticulture, food, and tourism in line with the goals of the Swedish Board of Agriculture and the national Food Strategy.
Responsibilities may include:
- Conducting economic investigations, follow-ups, and analyses, ensuring the quality of economic data, etc.
- Analysis of operational information and financial results.
- Compiling reports.
- Developing forecasts related to the operations.
- Conducting budget work and budget follow-up for projects.
- Providing a service function with a supportive and advisory role to management.
- Working in the financial system Unit4 ERP and the various operational systems of the Swedish Board of Agriculture.
Other tasks within the department may also be relevant. The responsibilities include collaborating with various stakeholders with different perspectives and competencies, primarily internally.
Who Are You?
To be considered for the assignment, you need to meet the following criteria:
- Academic degree in economics or equivalent knowledge obtained in another way.
- At least three (3) years of work experience as a controller. Experience with government agencies/state operations is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of MS Office or equivalent.
- Good knowledge of Teams, Skype, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of financial systems (e.g., Unit4 ERP, Raindance, Visma, etc.).
- Ability to communicate fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
Personal Qualities:
- Self-leadership and the ability to drive work forward independently.
- Responsive, independent, resourceful, responsible, and solution-focused.
- Flexible to adapt to new situations and conditions.
Meritorious:
- Experience with disbursement from EU funds?
