The Gothenburg City Preschool Administration is responsible for education and care for approximately 25,000 children in nearly 360 municipal preschools. The administration has about 7,000 employees who work together with children's learning and development at the center. The Preschool Administration is looking for someone who wants to help develop a safe and educational preschool for all children.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to contribute to a safe and sustainable work environment for all employees within Gothenburg City's preschools? We are now looking for an engaged and experienced development leader in work environment who wants to drive the development of strategies and processes related to work environment, health, and safety.

The HR department works to make the Preschool Administration an attractive and sustainable employer. The department consists of about 50 employees distributed across three units: HR Processes, HR Partner, and HR Competence and Labor Market.

The mission of the HR Processes unit is to develop and strengthen HR processes to ensure a long-term and effective competence supply that meets the needs of the organization now and in the future. By driving and developing employer issues, we actively contribute to the success of the administration. Our work is characterized by a process-oriented approach where we create added value through coordination and a holistic perspective.

As a development leader for the work environment, you will have overall responsibility for leading, coordinating, and developing the work environment efforts within the administration. You will work closely with HR, managers, and the rest of the organization to create a safe, inclusive, and sustainable work environment where everyone can thrive and perform at their best.

As a process leader for the work environment, your main responsibilities and tasks are:

  • Lead and develop the work environment and health process together with process teams and ensure that it is purposeful and effective
  • Lead and develop work environment strategies, policies, guidelines, and routines in line with the organization's goals
  • Represent the area of responsibility within the administration and externally
  • Drive the systematic work environment efforts (SAM) and ensure compliance with legislation
  • Coordinate and follow up work environment initiatives together with managers, safety representatives, and HR
  • Provide support and coaching to HR and managers in the application of work environment legislation
  • Develop and conduct training, create support materials and guidance to strengthen managers' work environment competence
  • Follow up work environment-related key figures and conduct analyses to identify areas for development
  • Hold dialogues, workshops, and networks within the work environment area
  • Monitor research, legislation, and trends in work environment and health
  • Handle assignments from the board and administration management in the area

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a university degree in HR or another higher education that the employer assesses as equivalent. You have at least five years of experience working strategically with work environment issues in a complex large organization, preferably within the public sector or large organizations. You have a good understanding of HR, the needs of the organization, and external factors that affect the work environment in educational activities. Experience in leading others is an advantage.

You have very good knowledge of work environment legislation and experience in driving development work in collaboration with various stakeholders. You are a clear communicator, easily build trusting relationships, and enjoy working both operationally and strategically.

We see that you are solution-oriented, analytical, and proactive. You are motivated by clearly defined goals, translate these into concrete actions, and follow up on results. You have a genuine interest in creating conditions for a sustainable work environment where employees can develop and feel good. Previous experience in leading projects or processes within the work environment area is an advantage.
