Personal assistance is an intervention according to LSS (The Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to individuals who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Each client is unique, and your tasks vary based on the client's needs. You respect the client's self-determination and privacy, and contribute to making everyday life run smoothly.

About the position

The role of a personal assistant places high demands on the ability to create good relationships. We are therefore looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative and see what needs to be done.

We are now looking for someone who meets the following criteria:

• wants to work with boys of various ages residing in Gothenburg
• has good knowledge of Swedish
• has experience in similar work
• has experience working with children
• is a good swimmer

It is also advantageous if you:

• have experience with respiratory aids
• have experience with alternative communication methods
• have experience with ADHD
• have experience with transfer techniques
• have experience with developmental disabilities

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Working hours, employment rate, and salary:

The position is a summer temporary job and is approximately 75%. The job involves working during the day or evening on both weekdays and weekends. The temporary position runs from week 27 to week 34. Working hours are 15:00-21:00 on weekdays and 10:00-20:00 on weekends.

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other compensations are in accordance with collective agreements.

Being employed at Humana

A prerequisite for starting employment with us at Humana is that you can present valid ID and any documents that prove your right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.

According to legislation, we as employers are required to request a police record extract from all employees who will work as personal assistants for a child under 18 years old. Therefore, you need to present an extract from the police's criminal record before a potential employment. Further information will be provided if you proceed in the recruitment process.
