JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to help develop Sjöbo cultural school?

For the past few years, we have offered visual arts and design as a subject in our program, which currently includes courses in visual arts and design and comic drawing for various ages in Sjöbo town and Blentarp. We are now looking for someone who has thoughts and ideas on how we can continue to develop the subject based on the interests and needs of children and young people in Sjöbo, while also taking over the already established operations. We also have a puppet theater workshop where you will be involved in a smaller part of the position and work together with a colleague who runs it.

We are looking for someone who:

• Can inspire, motivate, and engage both your students and other children and young people you meet.
• Has the ability to meet each young person at their own level and help them develop further.
• Believes that participation is a given, creating conditions for each student's creative expression and helping them grow!
• Has broad subject competence and enjoys working with various visual techniques.
• Likes to collaborate and work on projects, preferably interdisciplinary.
• Has good digital competence.
• Has thoughts and ideas on how we can create the cultural school of the future together.

You will plan and conduct teaching for children and young people aged 6-19 in visual arts and design as well as puppet theater workshops. Together with students and colleagues, you will organize exhibitions and other public events. Teaching takes place both in the cultural school's premises in Sjöbo town and in the surrounding villages in the municipality. In addition to the above, you will be involved in projects and conduct holiday activities together with your colleagues. Planning and administrative tasks are included.

We place great importance on good collaboration skills, pedagogical competence, and the ability to see the whole picture. The position is a vacation position.

QUALIFICATIONS

A university degree with a pedagogical focus in visual arts and design or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent. A driver's license and access to a car are required.

Experience working interdisciplinary is seen as a positive, as well as competence in other art forms.
