The Education Administration is responsible for all activities within the municipality's preschools, primary schools, adapted primary schools, after-school care, high schools, and adult education. The Child and Student Health Service works to ensure that all children and students encounter a school that promotes health, learning, and development. The Child and Student Health Service primarily works in a health-promoting and preventive manner, but also with remedial measures. Within the central Child and Student Health Service, a variety of professions work together to support the development of children and students towards educational goals.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Then you should apply for the role of school doctor with us and take a key position in creating a healthy and safe school environment. Here, you will have the opportunity to work in a health-promoting and preventive manner and make medical assessments that affect students' futures. You will also join a group of truly dedicated and competent school nurses and school psychologists and will have the opportunity to collaborate with other healthcare providers. We offer you the chance to grow in your professional competence, for example, to become a specialist in school medicine. You will also have the opportunity to work flexibly and influence your schedule while being involved in the development of the position. Not least, you will have the time to do a good job and meet a fantastic target group - our students.

As a school doctor, you contribute as a medical expert in the development of the operation together with the unit manager, medical management responsible, school nurses, and other professionals in student health. You provide advice to school nurses, students, guardians, and principals, and conduct training for staff when necessary. Your tasks include growth and development issues, neuropsychiatric assessments, vaccination assessments, back checks, and medical assessments for adapted schooling. You collaborate with healthcare providers such as BUP, BUMM, and primary care and send referrals as needed.

With us, you work as a school doctor in the municipality's primary schools, adapted primary schools, and high schools, including adapted upper secondary school. You belong to the central Child and Student Health Service, and effective collaboration internally and with external partners is crucial for success in the role.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed physician with specialist training in pediatric medicine, child and adolescent psychiatry, school medicine, or general medicine. You have experience working as a physician with children and adolescents. Experience as a school doctor and a driver's license (B) is an advantage.

You are collaborative and have the ability to adapt to achieve common goals. You need to be structured to independently organize, plan, and complete your tasks effectively. Additionally, you are relationship-building, easily able to meet and create relationships with both children and adults. We also see that you are stable and handle stress constructively.
