Beroendecentrum Stockholm is Sweden's largest addiction clinic. We provide support and assistance to individuals with problems related to alcohol, drugs, medications, or gambling. Our services include emergency and inpatient care, local outpatient care, and highly specialized treatment. We also conduct university healthcare, research, and education.

We are now looking for a nurse for our clinic in Gärdet.

The clinic is co-located with the Stockholm City Probation Service and offers addiction care to clients within the Probation Service. Our team consists of nurses, social workers, and specialist doctors. We work together with the patient towards improved quality of life, and in addition to the probation service, we collaborate with social services and other health care providers. The position is a one-year temporary contract, with the possibility of extension.

About the role

The Fridhemsmottagningen provides clients within the Probation Service with a straightforward path to assessment and treatment of risky use, harmful use, and addiction. As a nurse, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient's care together with the patient and the responsible physician. The work is based on evidence-based methods, and the goal is to improve the patient's health and social functioning. As a nurse, you will work with motivational and relapse prevention conversations, medication management, and sample collection.

We work person-centered based on individual care plans and in close collaboration with the Probation Service. Through a good and respectful approach, we see the person behind the addiction and criminality.

We constantly strive to improve the quality of care for our patients and see development work as part of our daily tasks.

Qualifications

We expect you to be a licensed nurse with a strong interest in our patient group. Specialist training in psychiatry or experience in criminal justice/addiction care/psychiatry is an advantage.

• in addition to Swedish professional certification, good knowledge of the Swedish language at level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
