About the position

As a nurse, you will lead the nursing work within the team and be responsible for assessment, planning, and implementation of care interventions for the patient. Here we work together, support each other, and strive to provide the best possible care for every patient. We would like you to engage in improvement groups and contribute ideas and thoughts to develop the operations. Working hours include day and evening shifts as well as work every other weekend. The working hours are as follows: day 07:00-15:30 evening: 13:30-21:30.

The role is permanent. The position is full-time, but part-time can be discussed if desired.

Your tasks include:

• Standard nursing tasks.
• Assessments.
• Planning for the patient's care.

About you

For this position, you need to:

• Be a licensed nurse
• Have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you also have:

• Previous work experience in healthcare, for example as a nursing assistant.
• Experience in emergency care.

About us

At the Surgical Department at Norrtälje Hospital, both acute and elective surgery is performed in gynecology, gastrointestinal, and urology. This contributes to you gaining broad competence in several different surgical specialties. The care on the ward is characterized by short hospital stays, and we work in teams consisting of nurses, nursing assistants, a coordinating nursing assistant, rehab, and doctors.

We are a cheerful group of about seventy people with a wide mix of backgrounds and experiences – here it’s always full speed ahead! With us, there is a family atmosphere where we have close to laughter and really enjoy being together. On Fridays, we gather for a communal breakfast.
