Workplace Description

Bromma City District Administration is one of the city's eleven districts. Bromma is located close to Stockholm's city center and by Lake Mälaren with its beautiful green nature.

Mälarbacken is a care and nursing home for the elderly over 65 years. At Mälarbacken, 282 individuals reside with various focuses including dementia, somatic care, psychiatric profile housing, as well as short-term and respite care. Mälarbacken is an academic node, meaning we host students for practical training and collaborate with universities and the Elderly Administration. Mälarbacken is situated in a scenic area and is easily accessible by car, bus, or subway.

You will work at the largest elderly care facility in the Nordic countries, focusing on dementia diagnosis, somatic departments, and short-term and respite care, as well as elderly individuals with mental health diagnoses. Each unit consists of 25-26 residents. You will work alongside experienced nurses and rehabilitation staff. Everyone in the department works based on person-centered care. Each unit is divided into 3 groups. We strive to work with our hearts and provide good encounters.

Unit 7B is a somatic unit where elderly individuals with multiple health issues and significant care needs reside.

Job Description

As a care assistant, you will provide good care, social support, and service efforts to the elderly according to decisions made by social workers. You will help and support care recipients in their daily lives to promote their functional abilities and assist with their social contacts. You will be responsible for ensuring that the elderly participate in various activities and receive stimulation for their well-being, as well as offering opportunities for outdoor activities. You will also maintain contact with relatives, participate in care planning, and social documentation. Additionally, you will follow the routines and regulations in place at the workplace.

Qualifications

You should have experience working in care and nursing. You should be able to document. You should have experience in the profession.

It is an advantage if you have a care assistant education.
