JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Angeredsvinkelns daily activities offer interventions for individuals within the autism spectrum who require extensive and individualized support. Our operations are based on a holistic perspective with a focus on structure, communication, and safety, with the individual's participation at the center.
We are now looking for two support assistants with competence and commitment to work with clear pedagogical methods and a low-arousal approach.
As a support assistant, you play a vital role in creating a meaningful and comprehensible everyday life for each individual in the program. The work involves providing pedagogical and practical support in the individual's daily activities. Using alternative communication methods such as visual support, sign language, and clear pedagogical methods. Applying a low-arousal approach to promote safety, stability, and positive relationships. Being a contact person for one or more participants, which includes documentation, establishing and following up on implementation plans, as well as collaborating with relatives and networks. Collaborating in a team with support assistants, support pedagogues, and unit management to maintain high quality and continuity. Being responsible for social documentation according to applicable legislation, primarily in the operational system Treserva.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has a degree from the Health and Care program, support assistant training, or the Child and Leisure program with a focus on social or pedagogical work. The educational requirement is also met if you have a post-secondary specialization in the disability field that includes at least 200 YH points, 120 higher education credits, or a combination thereof that corresponds to at least four semesters of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities. The education should include relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
Communication is an important part of the job, which requires that you have passed Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1. If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1, you may be offered to take a language test through the test user Educateit.
The position also requires that you have knowledge of social documentation.
For the position, it is required that you have experience working within support for people with disabilities and documented work within autism.
If you have knowledge of the following methods: alternative and augmentative communication, social stories, sign language, low-arousal approach, and clear pedagogical methods, this is considered an asset.
As you will be working in several different daily activities with various focuses, it is advantageous if you have any of the following competencies:
- Knowledge and experience regarding activities in crafts, music, and welfare technology.
- Computer skills in user-related programs such as Inprint, etc.
