Interim Head of Land and Development

Do you want to help shape the future of urban development? We are looking for an engaged and driven interim Head of Land and Development for a period of 9–12 months.

Job Description

As the Head of Land and Development, you will lead and develop our department, be responsible for strategic planning and implementation of land and development projects, and coordinate and collaborate with other departments to ensure effective and sustainable urban development. The department has two units: early stages and implementation. You will also be responsible for managing the municipality's land reserve and property rights, and handling the purchase and sale of properties.

Your responsibilities include;

• Support employees and unit managers on issues related to land legal matters. Lead and develop the land and development department.
• Be responsible for strategic planning and implementation of land and development projects.
• Coordinate and collaborate with other departments to ensure sustainable urban development.
• Manage the municipality's land reserve and property rights.
• Handle the purchase and sale of properties.
• Attract and collaborate with external actors to promote the municipality's development.
• Resource planning.

Who are you?

• Relevant higher education in urban planning, surveying, or real estate science, or an education deemed equivalent by the municipality.
• We prefer that you have at least 5 years of experience in a managerial role within land and development issues, preferably within municipal operations.
• Experience in leading and developing teams.
• Good knowledge of laws and regulations within the land and development area.
• Ability to work strategically and long-term.

What we offer

A consulting assignment with our client in Värmdö. The assignment is expected to start as soon as possible and will run for 9–12 months full-time 100%. You will be employed by Jurek Talets and be hired out to our client.
