Unit Manager for Management and Operational Support

We are looking for a strategic and engaged unit manager who wants to coordinate and develop the support functions at the property office.
About us
The Property Office in Upplands-Bro municipality is tasked with managing and developing the municipality's operational premises in line with the municipality's overarching societal mission. The office is responsible for providing suitable premises that create good conditions for the municipality's operations.
The office is under construction and will take over from April 2025 the responsibility for operational premises previously managed by Upplands-Bro Kommunfastigheter AB. The office's areas of responsibility include, among other things, space optimization, energy efficiency, and safety-enhancing measures.
Job Responsibilities
As the unit manager for management and operational support, you have a key role in building and developing the office's administrative and strategic functions. You work closely with the property manager and also contribute to the strategic support for the municipal management.
Your responsibilities include:
- Coordinating and developing administrative support functions within the property office.
- Developing and implementing effective processes and working methods.
- Being responsible for case management in the political decision-making process.
- Writing service letters and conducting investigations in collaboration with the office manager and the municipality's management group.
- Ensuring effective information management and documentation.
- Being responsible for portfolio management of IT systems.
- Supporting HR processes, goal follow-ups, and procurements.
- Following up on contracts and coordinating clients/providers within contracts.
- The position may include personnel responsibility.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Relevant higher education or other experience deemed equivalent.
- Documented experience of administrative managerial assignments in a municipality, including budget and personnel responsibility.
- Good knowledge of the municipal decision-making process.
- Experience working with management support systems.
- Experience with client/provider models.
- Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
Desirable experiences:
- Procurement and follow-up of municipal operational contracts.
- Strategic development and change work.
- Experience from employment in the private sector.

You are analytical, solution-oriented, and have good communication skills. You can create and maintain good relationships at all levels in the organization and have a strong ability to collaborate. You have a holistic view and work to strengthen cooperation between the municipality's various operations. Security in the leadership role, responsiveness, and the ability to drive change work are important qualities for success in the role.

About the position
The position is a permanent employment. A probationary period may be applied. Start date according to agreement.
