Sigtuna is investing to further strengthen the conditions for the business community and ensure a developed collaboration between business and municipality. Sigtuna Municipality aims to be among the ten municipalities with the best local business climate in Sweden according to the Swedish Enterprise ranking and have a Customer Satisfaction Index (NKI) above 75. To achieve this, Sigtuna Municipality works to strengthen dialogue with companies, increase understanding of the needs of the business community, and provide better service in contacts with businesses. The starting point for this work is to maintain and develop existing companies and attract new businesses and investments. Business development efforts will be conducted in line with the municipality's business strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Business Development Manager, you have an important mission to support the business community and promote the development and growth of companies in the municipality. A central part of your role is to realize the already established business strategy while working to improve the municipality's service by simplifying procurement and case management processes. As the Business Development Manager, you will bring the perspective of businesses into the municipal organization. Another prioritized area is the development around Arlanda, where you will contribute as the Business Development Manager. You will serve as an advisory contact for businesses in their communication with the municipality and create arenas and networks to promote collaboration within Sigtuna's business community. You will also work to create favorable conditions for new establishments and contribute to a positive development for the municipality.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with an academic degree in a relevant field. You have documented work experience as a leader and manager and have experience leading and developing business and growth issues at a strategic level. You understand the conditions that the business community needs to grow and develop and can demonstrate documented successes in improving the business climate. We would like you to have experience in advocacy work in some form. Experience working within a politically governed organization is a requirement, and a driver's license is necessary for the position.

To be successful in this role, you need to have a strategic forward-looking perspective, an excellent ability to create trusting collaborative relationships, and strong implementation skills. You have a strong commitment to the conditions of the business community and a good ability to create innovative and flexible solutions that promote the local business environment. You are proactive with a structured approach and are accustomed to navigating in a complex environment with many external and internal stakeholders. You have the ability to lead and work with initiatives all the way from idea and planning to implementation.
