We are looking for a CEO and operational leader for STIL in Farsta.

The founders of Independent Living in Sweden, STIL, are a non-profit association and an assistance cooperative founded in 1984. STIL is part of an international movement called Independent Living (IL), which aims to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to make decisions in their own lives. In Sweden, STIL became the first Independent Living organization. Everyone who has personal assistance in STIL is a member of the STIL association. The STIL association owns STIL Assistans AB, which is a licensed operation. STIL organizes assistance in a cooperative form without profit motives.

About the role

As CEO, you have the overall responsibility for leading, developing, and managing the daily assistance operations in line with the board's decisions, the association's statutes, and applicable laws. Your focus will be on strategic leadership, organizational development, and member-driven processes.

You will work with the board to develop strategies and create structures that strengthen the association's long-term goals and vision.

You will work with the management team to be responsible for the association's ongoing and daily operations, ensuring that the operations are conducted efficiently and purposefully, considering the Independent Living philosophy.

In this role, you will have many internal and external contacts, representing the association and building relationships with relevant stakeholders. You will collaborate with other interest organizations, employer organizations, industry colleagues, politicians, and authorities to drive important issues and strengthen STIL's position.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience in leading operations within non-profit or member-driven organizations or other sectors with a strong focus on democratic processes and member influence.
• The ability to develop and implement strategies that strengthen self-determination and member influence.
• Experience in change management, strategic goal management, and environmental analysis.
• A good understanding of legislation regarding assistance operations and LSS, as well as political decisions and how these affect member-driven organizations.
• A strong ability to build relationships and experience in creating collaborations and driving advocacy work.

We are looking for a strategic and courageous leader with the ability to create collaborations, promote a learning culture, and strengthen the association's influence. You are analytical and structured while being action-oriented and engaged in daily work.

You should have a listening and responsive attitude, be able to convey the organization's values and strategic goals, and educate in member-driven processes and democratic governance.
