Unit Manager for Internal Services and Procurement

The Department of Finance and Facilities is a support and service function for the core operations of the administration.
The department is newly established, and we are now looking for someone who wants to help develop the department's work.
The department consists of:
- Department Staff
- Finance Unit
- Facilities Unit
- Internal Services and Procurement Unit
You will work as a unit manager in our new Internal Services and Procurement Unit, whose mission is to coordinate and follow up on several cross-administrative processes.
The unit consists of about 12 employees responsible for administrative buildings, janitorial services, reception, digital operational support, information security, administration, and procurement. The functions of the unit provide important support for employees working at Slakthusplan and managers in need of assistance in the unit's subject areas.
The unit has extensive collaboration, both internally and externally, and also writes service statements to be processed by the district committee.

Your role
As a unit manager, you are responsible for leading and distributing work as well as developing the operations. You have operational, personnel, and budget responsibility for the unit. You are part of the Department of Finance and Facilities, where you work with colleagues to achieve good results and provide professional support to managers and operations.
In the Internal Services and Procurement Unit, you work both strategically and operationally and are part of the department's management team. In this role, you will drive your own projects and conduct investigations within the unit's area of responsibility. The work places high demands on collaboration.
In your unit, there are procurement officers, IT strategists, IT technicians, telecommunications coordinators, information security coordinators/qualified administrators, janitors, and receptionists. In the reception, there is also a security guard working under a framework agreement.
Your responsibilities include:
- Planning, prioritizing, executing, and following up on projects and activities within the unit's area of responsibility.
- Being responsible for the administrative building's premises including reception and related issues such as procurements, orders, and purchases, contract follow-ups for current agreements, and safety rounds.
- Collaborating with external suppliers such as property owners, alarm, security, and cleaning service providers.
- Providing support in the project of moving to a new administrative building.
- Being responsible for the administration's telecommunications and IT operations.
- Being the contact person regarding IT issues within the city.
- Coordinating the administration's janitorial services and reception.
- Writing service statements.
You will also be responsible for the administration's procurement work and the cross-administrative information security work together with the respective function.
Your qualifications and experience
To succeed in this role, you need to have:
- A relevant university or college education for the work based on the assignment and tasks.
- Work experience in facility issues.
- Good knowledge of the LOU legislation and experience in interpreting contracts.
- Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish in speech and writing.
It is meritorious if you have:
- Experience in leading projects.
- Experience in preparing cases and investigative work.
- Management experience with operational, personnel, and budget responsibility.
- Knowledge of IT and telecommunications issues, such as IT architecture and IT security.
- Experience from public operations, preferably in the municipal sector.
