Correctional Services is hiring a Staffing Planner

Correctional Services is growing – we are building new, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, remand centers, and client transport.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Staffing Planner, you will work with both short- and long-term personnel planning. Primarily, you will plan the staff belonging to the remand center in Jönköping and the remand center in Växjö, but you are also expected to support colleagues working with other areas of the region's operations. You will be part of the Coordinated Staffing team, where the majority of the workgroup is located at the regional office in Linköping. However, your role will be locally placed at the remand center in Jönköping, with regular travel to Linköping expected.

This position is suitable for you if you are a natural problem solver and are stimulated by social work that builds long-term relationships. You are communicative, service-oriented, and appreciate challenges that drive results.

In your role as a Staffing Planner, you will work with:

  • Continuous contact with core operations to meet the daily needs of the business
  • Working with short- and long-term vacancies
  • Vacation and training planning
  • Forecasting and planning staffing in a quality-assured and efficient manner
  • Planning staff according to laws, routines, and collective agreements
  • Proactively working to achieve set goals

We are now looking for an additional Staffing Planner for a permanent position in an exciting and important role.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills and the interest, willingness, and ability to help your colleagues deliver solutions. You work well with complex issues and can analyze difficult problems. In your work, you plan, organize, and prioritize your tasks effectively. You can see the big picture and take into account the broader perspective. It is important that you have good administrative skills.

We are looking for you who have:

  • High school diploma or other education combined with experience deemed relevant by Correctional Services
  • Experience in staffing planning, both short- and long-term
  • Experience with larger personnel and staffing systems, such as Heroma
  • Good knowledge of laws and agreements (labor law, working time regulations, policies, etc.)
  • Ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Additional education in labor law, human resources
  • Additional education in payroll processing
  • Experience working in the public sector
  • Experience with state collective agreements
  • Experience with Heroma
  • Experience in payroll processing
  • Driver's license (B)

OTHER

We have high demands on our employees' security and confidentiality awareness. To work with us, you need to undergo a security review in accordance with the Security Protection Act. The position is classified in a security class, and a security review including a security interview with a background check will be conducted before a hiring decision is made.
