Södra Lapplands Gymnasieförbund is a newly established association that includes high schools in the towns of Vilhelmina, Storuman, and Tärnaby. Our schools are small and characterized by good camaraderie, closeness, and collegial collaboration. The schools have high goal fulfillment and a high percentage of qualified teachers. The teaching groups are small.

We strive for SLG to be the natural choice for young people in southern Lapland, offering nine national programs, introductory programs, and apprenticeship training. SLG also has NIU programs in arm wrestling and alpine skiing. Our catchment area extends from Sorsele in the north to Dorotea in the south.

Our municipalities are beautifully located in southern Lapland, consisting of forests, lakes, and mountains. It is a part of Sweden where distances are long and the population is small. Here, we live without traffic stress, long queues, and congestion. The closeness to nature is obvious, and we have white winters with plenty of snow.

Description

We are looking for a person who can teach serving and possibly beverages, for the Restaurant and Food Program at Malgomajskolan in Vilhelmina.

The position is part-time during the academic year 2025/2026.

Responsibilities

Your teaching will be in the areas of dining room, beverages, and service. The work includes both practical and theoretical teaching with preparation and follow-up.

Together, we create a reality-based education, and we work hard to ensure that our programs are connected to the professional world. You will be part of a team consisting of 4 people.

Qualifications

For the autumn term of 2025, we are looking for someone who is educated and has solid experience in the profession. You need to have good pedagogical skills and be able to inspire and engage students in learning based on their different needs and vary your teaching.

You value close collaboration with your colleagues and are receptive to others' knowledge, striving to always develop your teaching and participate in collegial learning.
