Yrkesgymnasiet Umeå is primarily seeking a licensed vocational teacher in Building subjects, but we also welcome applicants with at least five years of work experience in the construction industry.

With us, students learn a trade from the ground up in real workplaces with experienced mentors. In this position, you will have the opportunity to share your knowledge with the future Builders. More than half of the students' training time takes place in a workplace, providing them with a solid foundation and an advantage in the job market. Our students are prepared in the best possible way for their future careers with the support of their mentors and engaged educators.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a licensed teacher in Building subjects or has at least five years of experience in the construction industry and a strong drive to teach and mentor students.
• Is an excellent communicator and team player who can act as a bridge between the school, students, and the business community.
• Has a B driver's license and preferably access to a personal vehicle.
• Has the ability to work independently while also being team-oriented and collaborating with colleagues to best prepare students for their future careers.

Qualifications

A teaching degree or substantial experience in the construction industry and a desire to inspire and develop the next generation of Builders. A teaching license and pedagogical experience are desirable but not required.
