We are looking for two planning educators for preschool!

Do you want to be a present educator in a child group – while contributing to raising the quality of the entire preschool's operations?

Vilhelmina municipality is now investing in planning educators who, with their commitment and experience, create more time for planning, reflection, and quality work for preschool teachers.

What does the role entail?

As a planning educator, you work practically in the child group at our preschools, thereby giving the regular staff space to focus on planning, documentation, and collaboration with the home. You do not act as a substitute in case of illness but are an educational resource that offers that little extra – time for both the children and the educators.

You visit each preschool according to a carefully designed schedule, where each department receives recurring visits.

Your mission:

• Be present and active in the child group during scheduled interventions
• Facilitate the preschools' systematic quality work by freeing up time for regular staff
• Adapt teaching according to the children's age, interests, and the preschool's operational plan
• Contribute to strengthening job satisfaction and creating synergy effects throughout the organization

Practical conditions:

• You may need to move between preschools
• You have a B driver's license and the ability to book a car when you go to the villages
• You work according to a fixed schedule and collaborate closely with your colleagues

Who are you? We are looking for someone who:

• Is an educated childcare worker or preschool teacher with experience working in a child group
• Is passionate about children's exploration, play, and learning in teaching
• Has good collaboration skills and is confident in your educational role
• Wants to be part of an innovative initiative where quality and the best interests of the children are the focus

Vilhelmina can be described as a 5-minute community. It may be a bit far from larger cities, but once you are there, most things are within reach. In five minutes, you can pick up children from preschool, go to work, hit the gym after work, or take your skis/running shoes in the illuminated trails, and eat at one of the local cafes and restaurants.
