Sjukhusen i väster is an administration within the Västra Götaland Region and consists of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Local Hospital, Högsbo Local Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. About 3000 employees work with us every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare of the highest quality.

Since January 2024, HR and communication have been a joint unit. We have about 40 employees, of which 20 work with HR-related issues, and we are present at all four hospitals. We value a good collaborative climate and offer a developing and independent work environment. We have fun together and help each other with a focus on solving our tasks and challenges competently and professionally.

As an HR specialist within Sjukhusen i väster, you will be offered an exciting and qualified job where you become part of the HR unit. You will work across all HR areas, both operationally and strategically. You will have close collaboration with the operations while being part of the HR unit and the collective work.

We are now looking for a new HR colleague who wants to continue driving and developing HR issues within Sjukhusen i väster.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include operational and strategic HR support to the operations where you will work with rehabilitation, workforce supply, salary formation, labor law, recruitment, and union collaboration, among other things. You will be the operational support in a business area and be part of their management team.

The work is independent where you support the business area and its managers, while also being part of the proactive work of the HR unit and being part of a strategic group where you contribute to the development of strategic HR issues.

Qualifications

• A university degree with a focus on personnel and working life or equivalent education is required
• At least 2–3 years of documented experience in qualified HR work
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing is required
• Experience working within HR in VGR is an advantage

To succeed in this role, you are expected to work independently as well as in a team. You have a professional approach where you plan, create structure, are efficient, and meet deadlines based on tasks and assignments. You have a coaching approach and find it easy to collaborate with both colleagues, the managers of the operations, and other stakeholders. You easily build trust and are unpretentious. Additionally, you have good pedagogical and analytical skills and view change work positively. You have experience in informing and presenting to larger groups.
