Description

The hearing service offers habilitation and rehabilitation for individuals with hearing impairment/deafness/deafblindness.

The goal of the service is to create conditions for individuals with hearing impairment to live a good life and achieve full participation in society based on their own choices.

We conduct hearing rehabilitation at Södra Gubberogatan in Gothenburg and also have a hearing aid reception where we assist patients who need help with service and repairs of their hearing aids.

Our staff includes various professionals such as audiologists, hearing pedagogues, social workers, speech therapists, hearing engineers, psychologists, special educators, and administrators. Collaboration occurs with Ear, Nose, and Throat Clinics, other services within Habilitation & Health, user organizations, schools/kindergartens, colleges, and universities.

We are now looking for a full-time assistant based in Gothenburg.

Responsibilities

As an assistant, you will be part of our administration, helping our patients and the staff of the units with various questions and tasks. The administration consists of eight employees who are assistants, administrators, and medical secretaries.

As an assistant with us, you will be in contact with our various clinics such as the Audiology Clinic, Adult Hearing Team, Children & Youth Hearing Team, and Hearing Aid Reception.

We offer a wide variety of administrative tasks. Responsibilities include:

• Welcoming our patients at the reception
• Booking/rescheduling patient visits
• Receiving incoming phone calls
• Managing phone hours for cancellations and rescheduling
• Handling cases in 1177
• Mail handling
• Booking interpreters
• Booking cars and premises
• Making various types of orders
• Journal requisitions
• Handling incoming referrals
• Care documentation in Melior

Responsibilities may change with future digitization, and you should be interested in digital development.

Qualifications

The minimum educational requirement is a high school diploma. You should be able to be on-site from 07:00 to 16:00. You should have good computer skills and experience with Office 365. You also need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. English may also be required.

Experience in administrative work and familiarity with healthcare administrative systems such as Auditbase, Melior, and 1177 is advantageous. We prefer candidates with experience working in a reception with cash handling.

Since the position involves daily contact with many individuals, high social competence is required, along with a service-oriented and stress-resistant attitude. You should enjoy working flexibly and independently, where the work pace can be high at times.

A good approach, as well as being meticulous and helpful, is essential. We place great importance on personal suitability. It is advantageous if you can use sign language. A B driver's license is required as some tasks related to purchasing may involve the need for a vehicle.
