Intelligence Analyst for the Naval Staff's Intelligence and Security Department

About the Unit
The intelligence operations and security threats against Sweden and the Armed Forces are extensive. The Naval Staff's Intelligence and Security Department conducts operations within military intelligence and security services. The department consists of two sections, the security section and the intelligence section.
The intelligence section is responsible for gathering, processing, analyzing, and disseminating maritime intelligence regarding external threats to Sweden and Swedish interests. The Naval Staff's intelligence section is part of the Swedish intelligence service tasked with monitoring maritime developments in the region and maintaining the maritime situational picture. The section's work is closely coordinated with other functions within the military intelligence service, the Armed Forces as a whole, and other authorities.
Main Responsibilities
As an intelligence analyst, you will participate in structuring and processing data. You will produce situational reports, analyses, and decision-making materials both individually and in collaboration with other parts of the Naval Intelligence Section.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Basic military training
- Documented ability to master Swedish and English at a very good level, both orally and in writing
- Experience working with various IT systems and the Office suite

DESIRABLE
- Experience in defense intelligence, military intelligence, or security services
- Experience in maritime operations
- Experience working in a military staff
- Documented knowledge of foreign languages
- International service

Employment type: The position is a fixed-term employment. The term is 8 years, with the possibility of a 4-year extension, where the Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those not already employed by the authority.
Employment rate: Full-time.
Work location: Muskö, south of Stockholm. Travel, exercise days, and standby duty may occur.
Start date: 2025-07-01 or by agreement.

As part of this work, the Armed Forces has organized a Naval Staff to lead the Naval units. The Naval Staff is established in Muskö, Haninge municipality.
