About the Position
The Livgardesgruppen (LGG) is part of the Central Military Region and is co-located with the Livgardet in Kungsängen. LGG is a military regional group responsible for planning and conducting operations with four home guard battalions (23.Hvbat – 26.Hvbat). The battalions consist of a battalion staff, command platoon, two operational companies, and a security company. In addition to these units, LGG is responsible for training a home guard intelligence company, a traffic platoon, an air group, and a regional command platoon (independent units). At LGG, there is an opportunity to identify in good time when the main activities will be conducted (exercises and courses), which allows our personnel to plan family life, their own professional development, and physical training. During periods between exercises, there are good opportunities to utilize flexible working hours. At LGG, there is an opportunity to practice planning both smaller and larger exercises (from group to battalion) with low to high degrees of complexity, which we believe benefits personal development. As a battalion mentor, there are good opportunities to develop your knowledge and skills in staff duties and your understanding of the Armed Forces' processes.
Main Responsibilities
Plan and conduct courses for home guard personnel, primarily regarding weapon service (support and special weapons). Support the head of the training section in planning and executing operations, developing exercise and training methods, and associated materials. Participate in the training group's meetings and, if necessary, also in external meetings.
During larger exercises:
Plan and conduct exercises at the platoon level. Act in the role of Moment Exercise Leader, firing leader SUSA group, platoon exercise leader/FBI, etc., with follow-up responsibility for the unit and lead the work with several subordinate/parallel instructors.
Other Activities:
Participate in ongoing planning work to support the Head of the Training Section.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Officer (OR 6/OR7)
- Good proficiency with weapons included in home guard units/ rifle platoon
- Good ability to plan, prepare, lead, and coordinate operations
- Troop experience, skilled in troop training and troop leadership

- Familiar with the Home Guard and other voluntary defense organizations

Information about the Armed Forces and the recruiting unit:
The Central Military Region (MR M) is a wartime unit and an organizational unit where the Chief and Staff are located in Kungsängen. The organization consists of the Chief with staff, six training groups for training and support of the home guard, and approximately 7000 home guard soldiers organized into eleven battalions and several independent units.
The Chief of the Central Military Region with the regional staff leads subordinate units, collaborates with regional and local actors, leads security and intelligence services, and supports operational and tactical commanders who solve tasks within the region. The region also serves as a link between the Armed Forces and civil society, actively cooperating with the county administrative board and region. If necessary, MR M also leads operations, for example, during national crisis situations and support to society. The military region solves tasks in peace, crisis, and war.
The organization and operational area of the Central Military Region cover the geographical counties of Stockholm, Uppsala, Södermanland, Västmanland, Dalarna, and Gävleborg. Training groups and home guards are present in each county.
