About the Position
MR M is tasked with leading territorial operations in the Central Military Region. We work to strengthen military capabilities in the region through collaboration with national, international, regional, and local actors, both military and civilian. We manage and plan subordinate units' command systems and conduct regional defense planning from tactical to operational level.
The position of command systems officer is developing, multifaceted, and exciting within a growing military organization with contacts to all actors operating in the region.
Main Responsibilities as Command Systems Officer at MR M
In your role, you are responsible for the functionality of the command systems for the military region's unit operations. You will help develop the command systems service as the unit grows. You collaborate with civilian authorities regarding communications within the framework of total defense. You participate in staff work and production and planning processes at MR M. You take part in central working groups and development forums within the command and communications function. You support the function regarding the operation of command systems and internal training.
Qualifications
- Special officer OR 6-7 or Professional officer OF 1-2
- Command systems officer
- Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
- Driving license B
Desirable
- Experience in operational management and planning of command systems within land, air, and/or naval domains
- Experience in staff work and implementation processes within information and command systems
- Understanding of the Armed Forces' structure and tasks within operations and production management
- Trained in military communication means (VHF/HF radio systems) and IT systems
- Trained RAKEL handler and instructor
- Trained in LSS MARK
- Trained in ISHV
- Frequency planning training
- Good experience working in relevant command support systems
- Familiarity with planning methods PUT/SPL/COPD
- Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in English

The Central Military Region (MR M) is a combat unit and an organizational unit where the Commander and Staff are located in Kungsängen. The organization consists of a Commander with staff, six training groups for training and support of the Home Guard, and about 7000 Home Guard soldiers organized into eleven battalions and several independent units.
The Commander of the Central Military Region with regional staff leads subordinate units, collaborates with regional and local actors, leads security and intelligence services, and supports operational and tactical commanders solving tasks within the region. The region also serves as a link between the Armed Forces and civil society, actively collaborating with the county administrative board and region. If necessary, MR M also leads operations, for example, during national crisis situations and support to society. The military region handles tasks in peace, crisis, and war.
The organization and operational area of the Central Military Region encompass the geographical counties of Stockholm, Uppsala, Södermanland, Västmanland, Dalarna, and Gävleborg. Training groups and the Home Guard are present in each county.
