Personal Assistant Wanted

I am a 42-year-old, cheerful and active guy living in my own apartment in Hultsfred. I am medication-free and thrive best when I can be active. Staying active is important to me, and I do this by riding, swimming, weight training, bowling, and golfing. As an assistant, you will join me in my activities and support me with what I need help with.

In addition to training, I have many other interests – I enjoy computers, music, clothes, and cooking. During the day, I work in a daily activity program, which gives me a good structure in my daily life.

Having structure and clear routines in my daily life is very important to me. I need to feel safe with you as my assistant, and I thrive best when my apartment is tidy and organized.

I want to be spontaneous and do what I feel like, and you play an important role in supporting me with that. I communicate using some sign language, pictures, and my computer, and it is important that you have patience and help me express myself.

Your workplace is wherever I am, and therefore I place great value on your flexibility and ability to join me on outings and trips when needed.

About You:

I am looking for an engaged and active person who can assist me with all my basic needs. You are stress-resistant, give me time to communicate, and accept me for who I am.

It is important that you are comfortable communicating at my level, speak calmly, and coach me with patience. I feel best when you give me time to express myself and understand my pace. For us to communicate effectively, you need to speak good Swedish.

In addition to being active, patient, and attentive, I am looking for someone who is structured and solution-oriented. You should be able to help me create order and routines in my daily life. Since life can sometimes be stressful, it is also important that you are stress-resistant and can support me in finding my calm again.

I thrive best with someone who is engaged in me and my activities, such as training and outings.

Qualifications:

• 1–2 years of experience as a personal assistant or working with people with special needs.
• Care education is an advantage.
• You should be comfortable in the water, as I swim regularly and am good at it.
• A driver's license is an advantage but not a requirement.
• You must be completely smoke-free; this is a requirement!

Job Responsibilities:

• Help create a safe and structured daily life.
• Support me during training and activities such as riding, swimming, and weight training.
• Assist with household chores such as cleaning, laundry, and cooking.
• Accompany me on outings and trips.

Scope:

The position is a scheduled employment (50% to start with the possibility of more in the long term) on a rolling schedule covering all hours of the day. We are a close-knit group that also supports each other when needed.

Start Date:
